My name is XXXXX and I am a naturalized citizen from Taiwan. I live in XXX county which is in your constituency. I would like to bring to your attention an incident that may concerns with U.S. reputation and benefit in Southeast Asia.

# h5 Y4 ]. L" L2 yA Philippine official vessel assaulted an unarmed civilian Taiwanese fishing trawler on the high sea on May 9 (Asian time) and murdered a 65-year-old fisherman on board. Afterwards, Philippine government refused to apologize or investigate the crime. I think it is a barbaric act and is very close to terrorism.$ }0 o* @; B- q# D0 F
- a2 h. o- v. Q5 n0 r: LThe whole world knows that Philippine is an ally with the U.S., and that there is a defense pact between these two countries. I as a U.S. citizen worry that if our ally acts like this, it will severely damage our reputation and efforts in that area of the world. I hope to further bring to your attention that the real threat in that area is China, which will try to use this incident to undermine the U.S. strategic and diplomatic achievement by claiming their role of protector for Taiwan if the U.S. chooses to side with Philippine. Our diplomatic and political prestige shall be challenged or even be replaced by China. It is really not a thing that anybody in our side wants to see.& T1 L( W( e% d1 ]6 }, O. b4 B, b' P2 h
